 Writing greeting cards, parents' meeting, socializing - party

On the last day of the 2023/2024 school year. year, we wrote greeting cards for parents and other dear people.

Each of us wore a red blouse and some New Year's detail: a hat, a tie, glasses... we decorated the classroom in the spirit of Yajoi Kusama and we were impatiently waiting for our parents to join us. We hope that they will also appear in our style, so we agreed! At the appointed time, they appeared at the door. Joy, happiness, enthusiasm could be seen on all the faces in the classroom! First, we all took pictures, and then the teacher held a parent-teacher meeting. She distributed booklets and introduced the parents to the projects in which we are involved, wished us a happy New Year and Christmas holidays. When the teacher finished, we congratulated the parents on the holidays. On the same day, we sent a card to the address: TEMPUS FOUNDATION. At the end of the day, in the evening, the New Year's party began. During the party, the teacher's former students (V/2) also joined us. After the holidays, we will set up an exhibition in the school hall. We will share the joy of creation with other students, employees and parents who will visit our school. We were happy and excited, satisfied and proud of our work!

Making greeting cards

Just before the new year, students look forward to creating greeting cards for family and other loved ones. This year they created greeting cards in the style of Yajoi Kusama.

We are on the threshold of 2024. We all rejoice and rejoice. Red color represents joy. Yayoi Kusama often uses it as a motif for her artworks and installations, clothing.

We came up with the idea that everything here should be red and Yayoi Kusama. We got to work.

 Polka -  New Year and Christmas with dots

Winter is slowly coming, we are impatiently waiting for the holidays. We've been exploring the world of dots and found an inspiring video based on the art of painter Yayoi Kusama. We watched the work process with nice music. The video helped us understand all the stages of the work.

Discovering Yayoi

The objective is to allow children to get familiar with this artist, for example, by reading books "Yayoi Kusama: From here to Infinity" and watching youtube videos or other resources that we find and share.

 

An activity that may be interesting for further interactions is the following:

 

-Each child makes a self-portrait in the Yayoi style.

- Later, a game can be played Who's who? Trying to guess pictures with students.

Students of the first grade of the Serbian school in Knjaževac watched a video about Yayoi Kusama, one of the most famous artists of our time! They explored the wondrous world of Yayoi Kusama and learned about her life, art and inspiration.

The story was very interesting and so was the artist Yaioi.
An interesting artist, she left an impression on all of us!
